마커스 그레엄은 광고회사에 다니는 회사원으로 자기에게 맞는 이상형을 만날 때까지 이 여자 저 여자와 그럭저럭 지내다가 어느 한 부분이 마음에 들지 않으면 사정없이 이별을 선언하는 유명한 플레이 보이이다. 그런 마커스에게 상관으로 재클린이라는 여자가 나타난다. 자기 보다 지위가 높은 그녀와 하룻밤을 지내게 된 마커스는 진짜로 그녀를 사랑하게 된다. 그러나 재클린은 마커스와 똑같은 여자 바람둥이로 그에게 별로 관심없어한다. 마커스는 그녀에게 휘둘리는 꼴이되고, 마음의 상처를 받는 등 자신이 여자들에게 대했던 상황들을 만나게 된다. 이때 재클린 밑에서 일하는 엔젤라라는 착하고 예쁜여자가 나타나 그의 마음을 달래준다. 결국 천하의 바람둥이는 점점 엔젤라의 포근한 사랑에 빠져든다.
