자고 싶다

1950년도 시골 마을, 아버지를 여읜지 얼마되지 않은 지영은 아픈 어머니를 위해 미자의 가정부로 일하고 있다. 거의 잠을 잘 수 없는 열악한 환경에서 일하며 극심한 육체적, 정신적 피로에 놓인 지영은 틈만 나면 졸지만 늘 아버지가 돌아가시던 순간을 꿈꾼다. 잠들지 않는 미자의 아기를 돌보며 중첩되는 업무에 점점 미쳐가는 지영. 결국 끔찍한 선택을 하게 된다.||In a rural village in the 1950s, Ji-young, who recently lost her father, works as a housemaid for Mi-ja to support her ailing mother. Exhausted from grueling work and sleepless nights, Ji-young drifts in and out of brief naps, haunted each time by dreams of her father’s death. As she tends to Mi-ja’s sleepless baby and becomes increasingly overwhelmed by the endless tasks, Ji-young’s mind begins to unravel—until she ultimately makes a horrifying choice.
